Chapter 1

“Urgh….”

YeZheng made a sound that she herself could barely hear. She woke up in with a drowsy and decelerated mind, but could not open her eyelids. Aside from that, she found herself in deep pain, like being crushed by some heavy object.

“What……happened?”

YeZheng quickly came to the realization, what had happened to her.

She fell from that cruise, “Freedom”--- Her soul was literally close flying up to the sky and never coming back down----then she hit the water. What’s worse was that, she knew how to swim, but could not as she had muscle cramps the moment she tried! Then, she became unconscious in the water.

Luckily. Although YeZheng still can barely open her eyelids, she was conscious to the point that she knew something was wrong: a cold, almost freezing hand was stroking her leg!

Close to making her scream, she heard her own throat creating incomprehensible gurgles, but her will prevented her from making more noises, making her force the liquid down her throat.

Maybe that creature that had been stroking her leg was shocked by the sudden noise, the cold hand left with haste, to the top of YeZheng’s eyelids.

Ice Cold… again that hand gave this feeling cold feeling to YeZheng. Maybe it was covered with water, maybe it carried humidity. YeZheng felt the cold “thing” travel from her eyelids to the nerves around her eyes. Her eyes were quickly recovered from the heavy, drowsy feeling.

That hand stopped at her eyelids for a moment, then slided down YeZheng’s neck. It even slightly groped her soft breasts, then continued sliding down to the point that it started stroking her smooth naked legs.

“You damn pervert!”

YeZheng clenched her hand with rage, then found out that beside her there was a separated wooden stick structured object. She used her fingers to search around and poke it until she felt a shape she was very used to. She quickly knew, it was her arrow---- although it was broken. YeZheng remembered that before she landed into the water, she was carrying her bow and quiver. Although the arrow was already split into two pieces, this meant that the things that she carried may still be around. Thinking of this, YeZheng gained strength and motivation, she held her hope, the small piece of her arrow, in her palm.

The good thing was, the head of the arrow was still here. YeZheng stroked the silhouette of the broken arrow and sighed with relief. Nobody knew better than her how sharp her arrows were. When she went hunting in the winter, the arrow pierced through a North American Black Bear’s thick armour. She had an idea, “I will let this unpleasant ‘thing’ understand my power.”

That ‘thing’ was just sliding down YeZheng’s legs, at this moment grabbing on to her lower thighs.

Until then, YeZheng realised an unbelievable truth: that damn thing left different feelings on the different part of YeZheng body. The clothes on her upper body was fine, but the jeans that she was wearing before the fall had disappeared!

That’s why her lower body was slightly chilly. YeZheng though with embarrassment, should I thank this goddamn thing that it didn’t take her clothes off?!

That ‘thing’ has already levelled up to a ‘damn pervert’ as it moved down, grabbing YeZheng’s feet. She felt it, not just one, two hands groped her two feet. That pair of freezing cold hands slid across her feet to her toes.

YeZheng was furious to the point that she could not control her body. She felt it, as she awakened more and more, and her strength came back to her. She moved her pelvis slightly to confirm. She had full control over her body.

Ahem…

Her throat made a sound that shocked this huge fish which stared to her……throat.

“Hi…” in this sudden event, YeZheng forced a kind but awkward smile, “Uhh.. h…hi.”

Of course, YeZheng thought that his was a hilarious approach to a mermaid. If it wanted to eat her, an awkwardly posed smile was pointless. YeZheng grabbed on to the broken arrow and thought that if she was going to be eaten anyways, she wanted to make the mermaid regret it.

This time, YeZheng’s approach worked quickly. The creature in front of her suddenly stood up. It might’ve been her hallucination, but she thinks that the mermaid’s eyes stared at her with a larger size. At the same time, she noticed the gills of the creature suddenly straightened---Was this because it was scared, so it had an aggressive approach?

YeZheng licked the side of her mouth thinking, is this the final fight?

In an instant, something unpredicted happened: This huge thing flipped in the air. YeZheng stared at it as it rolled back into the sea in front of her. “woosh---”, a huge splash of water flew up and landed all over YeZheng.

YeZheng wiped the salty sea water from her face, and tried to open her eyes covered in sea water. Except for the splashing of the water, the ocean was silent.

What… happened? YeZheng’s head could not process what was happening. With no preparation, the fish disappeared.

YeZheng dazed with confusion. The first thing she remembered is to get up and examine the environment surrounding her.

She wriggled her stiff ankle around, pushing herself, attempting to get up. But nothing was listening to her. Her left leg had spiking pain. YeZheng was half sitting with her leg raised up. There she saw the ripped up sheds of the jeans lying there on the beach.

Luckily, YeZheng mocked herself, at least it left a belt.

YeZheng found the origin of her pain: On the inside of her lower leg, four deep scratches were seen already with blood solidifying.

She was reminded of the four sharp teeth, sharper than a wolves fang, in the mermaids mouth.

“So it tasted me, and figured I am not that tasty so it let me go?” YeZheng laughed tragically…
